585 NYATI
The Following data was developed by Mr. Roy Vincent, a professional hunter in Zimbabwe. S341 powder is made in South Africa by SOMCEM. It is supposed to be slower than IMR 3031, but faster than IMR 4320. Bertram brass was used, together with Federal 215 primers. The cast bullets were made in an NEI mould, and were not sized.
Mr. Vincent built his rifle himself on an Enfield P14 action, and the barrel was from Lothar Walther, finished at 23.5 inches. The barrel had a 1-30” twist, and the rifle weighed 11 pounds.
