220 Swift
The 220 Swift. The best of the factory 22 varmint calibers. Don’t listen to all the rubbish published about how bad the Swift is. It is no worse to load for than any other cartridge. Period! You might hear some people saying that the Swift is not as good as the 22-250 Remington. I do not think that is true at all. Given the same standard of rifle – same quality action and barrel – the Swift will always outperform the 22-250 in the velocity department, and shoot just as accurately.
The following loads were developed in a SAKO AII HB. Federal 210 primers and Remington brass. All are 5 shots at 100 yards. Leupold 6.5 – 20 X.
