Hiking In The Swiss-French Alps
A lovely house surrounded by flowers
Just been on a short hike. Today is market day, and the ladies are doing what they love best! Us dads had to keep an eye on the kids in the meantime
Monty and Hessa are trying their best to make sure I do not play any tricks!
A beautiful lake up in the mountains. We hiked up there and had a packed lunch by the lake shore.
A lone duck was in the lake, and I think everyone feeds it, so it was not too hungry, as it kept playing with food ythrown to it.
You can see the path down to the village. It does not look much, but it winds its way down.
You can see Sassy, Hessa's poodle, running full speed on the right.
Hessa, Louis and Monty
Lots of sausages and cheese at the market
Nougat too!
At the dinner table in our chalet.
Daniel and Jonathan made great BBQs! Almost as good as Walters in the hunting camp.
You can see the clouds descending into the valley
In some places, the snow is found all year round
Monty, Daniel and Hessa biking on top of the mountain
Louis and Hessa trying their bikes at the bike shop
One of the speciality dishes which Jonathan loved!
Lunch break, and rest for Sassy!
The kids enjoy archery in the forest! They beat us old folks!
Another lake up in the mountains. Stunning scenery
What a contrast. Beautiful flowers, and a ragged mountain in the background!
If you look carefully on the slope on the right, you will see the track we followed hiking. It wasn't much fun at all!
The gang stretching back on the trail
Sassy enjoying an ice cream
Jonathan following me on the track
THis is the track we followed, and decided to turn back as it turn up into the mountain
Having a break at teh top
Shale track. One slip and one probably will not stop until he reaches the forest below
You can see the zip line in the middle of the photo. It ends just over a kilometer at the other mountain
