A Safari In The Moyowosi And Masailand
Part VII
I took these photos while flying from our Malagarasi camp north to Masai land
My tent at the Malagarasi camp
The view from my tent to the Malagarasi river.
Something is going on with Guss's rifle, and Walter is racking his brains, thinking "what can I break now?"
This is Matano, our driver. He could not hit a barn door if he was standing right next to it. As you can see by his target, which is nice and clean. He was trying to work a deal with Alan. Telling Alan to hide in the bush and fire as he fires at his target!?
One of our shooting contests, which is hugely popluar.
A pictures tells a thousand words!
We had some shooters who actually missed the whole ant hill!
The smoking fire at the staff camp
Alan is taking a video of a Masai lady, and Bambam is helping.
We gave this young lady a leg of a Grant's, which she was very happy to receive.
Roy's Grant's
Both me and Roy got a Thommy each
I shot this Grant's late in the afternoon, and we stopped to have our lunch while it was skinned
We shot a number of a number of animals by the shores of lake Natron.
The above aerial photos were taken while we were on the way to Tabora from Malagarasi camp. We had to land at Tabora for refueling.
You can see lake Natron on the left
One of the many dead flamingo chicks by the lake
These Masai came over when Roy shot his wildebeest.
WE gave them some of the meat. The dogs were so hungry Alan was cutting pieces of meat and feeding them as we stood.
