Christmas With Horst And Anna Marrie

Many of you might remember my old friend Horst. We have known each other close to 40 years.

Horst had an accident a few years back, falling off a horse. He lost consciousness for a few weeks, before waking up again. His recovery has been a bit slower than we had hoped, physically. But his mental state is just as good as it was before.

We have always had a Christmas dinner at their house, generally on the 26th, for as far back as I can remember. Last night we had another Christmas dinner with Horst and Anna Marie, and a great time was had by all, especially Horst.

Horst loves photography, and as he spends a lot fo time at home, he has made bird baths and feeders at his house. And takes some fantastic photos. Above you see him enjoying looking at some of our photos from our safari this year, on a photo frame, one of his Christmas presents.

I am showing him some of our video clips on his computer

The women were not happy how we looked in the photos, so we were told to pose!

I am continuing the tradition of carving the turkey. I was given this job many years ago

Mouth watering delicious

Everyone had his favorite. Mine is the blueberry crumble at left
